A Ukrainian family leaves home with everything they can carry. The dog gets lost in the leaving.
Spring 2022. The Lutsenkos board a train out of Ukraine. By the time they reach Hamburg, Slava — the family dog — is gone.
The search opens a city that no one is usually shown: a circus on the edge of town, an apartment full of strangers, a sleeping bag under a bridge. Lives that were never going to meet each other are bound, for a few days, by a missing animal.
About what stays behind. What gets carried. What waits to be found.
"A conciliatory children's film that underlines the importance of community and togetherness — one that takes on the conflict in Ukraine in an age-appropriate way, using humour to lighten the mood."
